I know this is previously discussed but I need clarification on couple of questions, please.
It seems that Time Machine is working for me with Knox. Here's what I did: First, I reformatted a simple USB Maxtor external drive with Knox using the Whole-Disk vault option. Next, I selected it as the drive for Time Machine backups. Next, I did a full system back up to the Knox-created whole disk vault on the Maxtor external drive which took less than an hour - about 90 GB. Next, when the back up finished, I entered Time Machine and found all my files in seemingly good order. File Vault was NOT turned on and I was logged in. Can I assume that Knox will now work with Time Machine as long as the external drive is set up with the Whole-Disk encryption option or am I missing something? Eddie |
