Hi. I am attempting to back up my Knox vaults (currently 4 of them) to my Mobile Me iDisk. The iDisk works fine -- I can use it from Finder or anything else and there's plenty of space available -- but every time my Knox backups run, it fails. I'm running the latest 1.6.4 and am checking for updates automatically. My vaults are fairly small, the largest of the four being 49MB.

kwilson Hello. The status code that MobileMe is returning is described as "Status constant indicating failure due to an unknown error.", unfortunately. Which OS version are you using?

Oh, that's not very helpful, is it? Would you like a bigger log sample? Is there a debugging option I can turn on somewhere for more information? I'm running the latest OS X, 10.6.1. |

There isn't a debug logging option alas, but could you create a new vault and try the backup with that one? If it's possible, running Knox on another user account, using the same MobileMe account and attempting the iDisk backup on that account could help in narrowing this issue down.

I tried it with a new vault on a different computer and it worked fine, so I trashed the preferences on the original computer, imported my existing vaults, and the iDisk backup seemed to go smoothly. Looks like we're ok. I'll update this thread if the problem begins again. Thanks! |

That's interesting! If this starts happening again, I'd like to have a look at the preferences file itself.
